Who we are

Iron Bid Exchange (ironbidexchange.com) operates this marketplace. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself), and optional company, phone, logo, banner, bio, and intro video link.
• Listings: title, category, make, model, year, hours, condition, price, city and state, description, photos, and video link. Listings are public.
• Inquiries: when you contact a seller, the name, email, phone, and message you enter.
• Contact form: your name, email, subject, and message.
• Equipment alerts: your email and the category you sign up for.
• Dealer applications: business name, entity type, address, contact name, email, phone, website, optional EIN, and notes.
• Affiliate program: if you apply as a partner, your name, email, website, how you plan to promote, and payout email. Payout identity and bank details are collected by Stripe, not by us.
• Billing records: your plan, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and payment status. Card numbers go to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

Page-view counter

Iron Bid Exchange counts visits with its own first-party page-view counter. For each page view it records the page path, the referring website, any UTM campaign source, an approximate country, your browser user agent, and a visitor ID that is a one-way hash of your IP address and browser, salted and reset daily. We do not store your raw IP address in these records. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Cookies

• Login session: keeps you signed in. Needed for accounts to work.
• Affiliate referral (aff_ref): set only when you arrive through a partner link. It stores the partner code for 60 days, first touch wins, so the partner who referred you first gets credit if you sign up or buy a plan. It does not track you on other sites.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie will prevent sign-in.

How we use information

To run the marketplace: create and secure accounts, publish listings, deliver buyer inquiries to sellers, send equipment alerts you asked for, review dealer applications, process plan purchases and Boosts, pay affiliate commissions, send service emails, prevent fraud and abuse, and answer support requests. We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see or receive it

• Anyone visiting the site can see public listing details (equipment specs, photos, city and state, seller company name, and plan badge). Your email is not shown on listings.
• Sellers receive the contact details and message you send through an inquiry form.
• Service providers that run the site for us: Stripe (payments and affiliate payouts), Resend (email delivery), Netlify (hosting), and Neon (database). They handle data only to provide their service.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect users, the public, or the site from fraud or harm.

How long we keep it

We keep account and listing data while your account is open, and afterward only as long as needed for billing records, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Your choices

You can update or deactivate listings from your dashboard. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, account closure, or to stop equipment alerts, email support@ironbidexchange.com or contact us. Iron Bid Exchange is meant for adults and businesses and is not directed to children under 13. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
